Islamic Sex Shop

This is unbelievable , at least to me . What next ? A sex shop operating to Islamic sharia laws . I thought it was a joke when I 1st saw the title , but sad to say , it is for real . I guess the Islamic business world has joined the 21 century . What do you think about this ? Is it a good thing or not ?

Well, I don't feel that it's bad, prohibiting the word "sex" which is coupled with Islamic environment is the reason of the unawareness we have in our arab societies.

Sex is important to Muslims as non-Muslims, There are other sites that offer such products, and some of these product is not allowed for muslims , either because of the method or contents, at least at this site , married couples can have safe sex shopping.

Then it comes to the issue of underage access , I would say that it does not make a difference, since they can already gain access to other sites , just by clicking " I'm over 18" button. this site will not cause more harm.

Living in Bahrain, I was pretty surprised to hear there was a sex shop here when it appeared in the local press, but as long as it's done discretely (she has a very modest window display), why not?

I think like everything else that is marked under the umbrella of a "secret or forbidden", it holds more weight than it really is worth. It's for this reason alone, people seek out it's temptings. For if we did not give it so much dark merit, it probably wouldn't hold as much power.

We are always going to have those that follow the letter of the law, and those that cross the letter of the law......human nature.

I remember when I was a young girl, my brother and I were taught that smoking cigarettes were forbidden and, even to some, evil. So of course the thought of smoking seemed to become more of a big deal because of all the nervousness and pressure adults put on us. One day we decided (separately of course because it was considered 'bad') to try these forbidden things called cigarettes. We each came to the conclusion they tasted terrible, and moreover didn't understand the big deal that was always made about them.

Guess long story short, humans are humans and will or will not participate in the arena of sex, and for some knowing there's a place where they can purchased products that they believe to be 'ok' then why not.

I love this part:
Ahmed, veiled and dressed in a black abaya, says her business also offers marriage counseling.

"One of my customers told me that I saved his marriage, just as he was about to get divorced," Ahmed was quoted as saying by Agence France-Presse. "It's not a sex shop in the Western sense but a place to help married couples, and only married couples, enjoy sex to the full."

I don't think there's anything wrong with Muslim couples sharing this in their private lives. Married couples that is...
