My Love Affair

Like most things in my life , I was either too late, or  too early . Or I was too distracted by life to really pay attention at the time of whatever it was to notice, and now I play catch up . I know I have talked about Led Zeppelin many times here, but once again I am tugged by their shear genius . I sit now listening to their classics and am so totally blown away by them .I have a love affair with them , a shame they don't know it ,lol.

The scale  and innovation of what they wrote is equal with many classical composers .Their skill is WOWERFUL! The guitar rifts, the drums, the harmony, the verses ,the power, the emotions .I could go on but I will save you from that torture .Sometimes when I listen to them , I am so completely amazed by what they accomplished when I stop to consider that they were on heavy duty drugs or alcohol  much of the time in that period of their life. There are many bands and artist that are equally talented but no one on this scale in my opinion .

The members of the band have gone on to do other things to much acclaim as individuals , or as in John Bonham's case , died .No mater what their endeavors may have been , they embody success .I love them.Once again , I give you a video from them to judge for yourself what you think.Enjoy!

Sleep All Day, Out All Night ,I Know Where Your Going

Back when Moe and I first met in 1971,this song "Funk#49 " by The James Gang was a hugh favorite of all. We used to love to dance to this song because of it's fantastic rhythm. I also used to think of this as my " unofficial " theme song, lol.I guess it still is , just not the staying out all night . Now I just stay up all night, lol. Hope you enjoy this blast from my past.

One Stormy Night

A storm blow in tonight . Our first real storm of the season . Thunder shook the Condo , while lighting illuminated our way to the windows to watch the show as the gales blew sporadically by our balcony .I loved it all . It made me think of an album Mohamed and I had when we first married by the Mystic Mood Orchestra, named " One Stormy Night"
I think you will like this .

Wicked Game

I am sure most of you have experienced this , you turn on the radio and hear a incredible song . One that switches ALL THE RIGHT BUTTONS on inside you . You think to your self , "WOW what a SONG ! It says it all" . Or maybe , "How did I live my whole life with out this song " ?

Some songs strike a chord inside your being that makes you hum and vibrate . I have had this happen to me many times to the point that I had shivers running up and down my skin . I think you know what I am talking about . It doesn't necessarily mean these things have happened to you , what is being sung about in the songs , or the music being played , but you are simpatico with it . For that brief moment in time , you are that music .

The song below is one of those songs . I want to share with you . I hope you have sound on your computer and can listen to it . Here is Chris Isaak's " Wicked Game" .

What's Your Fantasy?

What is your very own fantasy ? I don't mean THAT kind of fantasy , but what you dream about doing or living if there wasn't any obstacles in the way such as lack of money or time . Would it be travel ? Maybe you would be some one famous ? Or what about rich ? Would you be a saint ? Prehappes you would be a famous inventor that invented something to help mankind ? How would you live ? Where ? Would you be a duck ? I have know a couple of people that wanted at one time or another to be a duck , so don't laugh !

I used to dream that Moe and I would live in Venice in a restored palace along the Grand Canal . We would go to the opera , the art gallerias , the theater , stroll along the Piazza San Marco pretending to be tourist feeding the pigeons . We would dine al fresco when it was warm enough , eating fantastically prepared gastronomical delights that Venice is famous for under the open sky . There would always be music in the background like a Hollywood movie sound track somehow , lol . We would of course go to the Venice Film Festival and see all the movies stars there for awards . 090.Venice,carnival,venice,carnival,Italy. I would wear those dresses that you used to see the actresses of old movies wear , with my hair ALWAYS perfectly styled ! When winter comes we would definitely go to the Carnival in handmade costumes that would look like something from a European court of the 1700's wearing masks that would take your breath away from the shear beauty of them . Hey , it's my fantasy ! What is yours ?

More Good Byes

I can't believe that there is anyone left in Hollywood . Add Issac Hayes and Bernie Mac to the long and fast growing list of people gone from our lives .Who can ever forget those bass colors of Issac Hayes singing about love , sending tingles up and down the spine?

How many of us havelaughed until tears rolled down our cheeks listening to Bernie Mac talking irreverently about something no one else would ? The below video contains x-rated adult material intended for ages 21 or older.

50 Years In 3 Minutes

I was sent this email with the video attached . Thought you might like to watch it too .

This is excellent and well worth passing along!
50 years of images in 3 minutes .. just awesome .. enjoy

Someone went to a lot of trouble to put this video together.
It is well worth the time for a couple minutes of enjoyment.

It takes a few seconds or so to load but very entertaining.
This is great.... Turn up volume, sit back and enjoy a review of 50 years of history in less than 3 minutes!
Thanks to Billy Joel and someone from the University of Chicago with too much time on Google!

Just click on the link below. When the song starts it helps to click on " Lyrics " in the lower right. Use the full screen option on the upper left if the images are too big or too small.
